Description
This listing is for a copy of 'Mozart Haydn Quartets Vol. 2' performed by The Juilliard String Quartet. This is catalogue no. SAX 2471, edition 1 on the blue-silver Columbia HMV label.
Included here is: the record, original laminated sleeve and non-original inner sleeve. I will also provide an archival inner and outer protective sleeve and package the record in a music max mailer, for protection during transit.
Record grading
Visual grading
Visually the record is in VG+ condition overall. Retains a beautiful sheen.
There are two single, very slight, but visible surface marks on side 2; audibly one of these marks produces a very slight tick for about 15 seconds on band 2 side 2. However, the rest of the period covered by the mark, tracks perfectly.
Record is in superb condition and is close to near-mint; grading conservatively, due to the aforementioned surface mark.
Playback
Top audio! Fully play-tested. Clear and quiet playback/ dead quiet surfaces/ very occasional light ticks.
Playback is remarkable!
Sleeve and inner sleeve grading
Sleeve grading
Sleeve is in VG+ condition. Some laminate creases near to the spine.
White cover has faded in places.
Some damage to the bottom flip-back panel on the reverse of the sleeve. *See picture sections above.
Inner sleeve
Included is an inner sleeve that I believe to be non-original. I've decided to include this anyway, as its part of the record's history.
Inner sleeve is in great shape.
