Description
SAX - 2478. Uk blue / silver label first Stereo Columbia SAX pressing. MINT-.
The vinyl Is In beautiful near mint condition, and looks and plays as new. Both sides have that just pressed look, a superb deep clean glossy sheen - free of surface marks. The sound quality Is simply stunning throughout, there are no clicks or pops to be heard, and also barely even a trace of background crackle, this rare classical album had probably only ever had just a couple of careful plays since new. The blue / silver first press labels are as new, free of marks or spindle traces. The original poly-lined Inner sleeve Is very good with no splits. Ok, so that's the good news. The not so good news Is that the outer sleeve has suffered from some water / moisture damage. The front cover Is actually In pretty good shape though - having just a little mild discolouring and also a small amount of rippling. The back has suffered a little more, there's some staining and markings, but all text Is still clear and easy to read. The worst part about the back cover Is the fact that the flip-backs have come away from the sleeve In places (please see pics provided). So a truly fantastic original fist press vinyl that will definitely not disappoint In any way, and a cover that Is not so good. This item would make for the perfect upgrade If you have a great sleeve with just a so-so vinyl.
