Description
This is another sale from my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
Recording first published1962 recording of Uk Columbia SAX 2493 red semi label Schubert ?Unfinished? Symphony and Beethoven Symphony No. 8 in F Major performed by The Cleveland Orchestra conducted by George Szell. Sleeve is a flip back sleeve. The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are YAX 1001-1 YAX 1000-6. Side 1 has 1A stamped in the run out. Side 2 has 1M stamped. The KT tax code is stamped on the label on side 2.
Grading
Visually graded the vinyl under a task lamp. Both sides have sleeve/paper marks and tiny spider marks around the spindle hole. Would visually grade as VG+. It plays well on my Linn Sondek, no skips, jumps or repeated clicks, just some crackle in places. Sleeve is in Excellent condition, no rips or tears but some wear and marks (see photos). The inner sleeve is plain paper.
Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
