SAX 2508 b/s MILSTEIN : BEETHOVEN VIOLIN CONCERTO
1962 Columbia stereo recording on blue/silver label catalogue number SAX 2508. Nathan Milstein playing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D, Op.61, with Erich Leinsdorf conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra.
The disc has occasional very faint "smudge" and hairline marks. We have listened VERY carefully to both sides and the only defects we can detect are 4 light ticks at the beginning of side 1 and 3 random faint ticks elsewhere on that side. The sleeve is overall very good but the front right-hand edge has a tiny nick and some laminate puckering plus corner wear. On the top right front is the indent of a handwritten owner’s name and "Xmas 1963".
