Description
Many regulars will recognise my ‘tag’ of Frenchnephew – I am a serious collector of classical vinyl, who periodically lists quality selections for fellow collectors to purchase.
It has been some six months since my last listings, so a new collection is long overdue !?
This is the best collection I have ever listed. It contains a substantial number of early first edition stereos (Decca SXL, Columbia SAX and HMV ASD 3-digit). Additionally, there is a number of ‘factory samples’, including a SAX- with a huge book price, and some rarer and obscure items, ranging from early mono to Digital-Stereo releases.
My philosophy has always remained the same :-
· Low starting prices and no reserve for any item (even the higher value recordings)
· Totally frank item descriptions, using “Mint” / “Near Mint” / “Excellent” or “Very Good +”. I will not offer any vinyl beneath this condition, and each flaw will be fully described and sound-checked
· A full and unequivocal refund policy, on the extremely rare occasions where items prove to not be as described – my feedback backs this up !
· Each individual item is weighed, and an accurate postage cost quoted for all postal destinations
· All items are protected by a plastic sleeve and despatched in bespoke transport sleeves with a minimum of TWO stiffeners

This item is one of a number of Test Pressings and Samples I recently acquired - mostly on the Philips Label.
This is a "factory sample" of a high value Stereo release on the Columbia Label, Disc No. SAX 2552, and as such, represents a recording of great rarity. However, the white label is hand-written, as is the home-made outer sleeve. The Serial No's on the disc 'run-off' are JM 5004 - 1L - 1//420 & JM 5004 - 2L - 3//420.
I will start this at a sensibly modest starting price and let the EBay community decide the final value (?)
