Description
Often regarded as the 'holy grail' for Columbia SAX collectors, this rare 1966 release was the last SAX-numbered issue produced. After this, EMI abandoned the Columbia logo in England and converted to using the ASD prefix.
Bruckner Symphony No 3 in D Minor with George Szell conducting The Cleveland Orchestra, rare first stereo pressing, 1966, Columbia SAX 5294, ED1, 1st red semi-circle label, original flipback sleeve with EMI logo top left.
Front laminated flipback sleeve is in excellent condition – a little minor age wear to the flipback, very slight bumping to one corner, but otherwise in great shape.
The vinyl is bright and glossy and has had very few plays. There is no spindle wear to speak of, no marks of any significance and it plays beautifully. I would grade it Excellent+ to Near Mint.
The labels are also in superb condition, with a Factory Sample sticker on Side 2, which makes it rarer still.
It comes in a nice condition lined inner sleeve in VG+ to Excellent condition.
No reserve. This rare gem is highly sought after. Low start based considering the sale price this LP regularly achieves. Offers are welcome but they need to be realistic.
