SB 2051 Shostakovitch: Symphony No 1/ Age of Gold Suite, LSO/ Martinon
UK RCA Living Stereo First Edition 1959
Excellent, near-mint Condition
First-edition 1959 UK issue on RCA red/ silver label. It features first-class orchestral playing from the LSO. The sound is spacious with excellent dynamics and presence. The disc is in near-mint condition, clean without marks or scratches. It has been play tested on both sides on a Linn LP12/Ittok. It plays beautifully. There is only very little occasional, extremely slight surface noise, consistent with a 60 year-old record. This should not affect one's enjoyment of the recording.
The sleeve is the original 1959 issue flip-back. It is in an excellent, extremely clean condition. The laminate is intact without creases. Please see the photos.
