This is one of my favourite records, both as a performance, complete with eccentric French orchestra, because of the cover, and because of the fact that Monteux conducted the premiere. This and SXL 2042 should be in everyone's collection.

Superb, historic, eccentric, quirky, charming, great! This is the very earliest issue with sleeve dated from the month of the issue of the very first UK stereo LPs, November 1958!
