SCAFFOLD, Live at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, original first issue UK 1968 stereo LP.

PCS 7051, original first issue UK 1968 stereo, yellow and black Parlophone record labels.

An original stereo album in original condition, featuring:

1. a ‘corrected’ record matrix on side one,

2. original first issue UK record matrix of: YEX 685 – 1 and YEX 686 – 1,

3. earliest known ‘mother / stampers’, of ‘1G’ on side two of the record,

4. very early ‘mother / stampers’, of ‘1R’ on side one of the record,

5. unusually there are no letters embossed around the spindle holes on the record labels,

6. comes with its original period EMI advertising inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The front laminate is free from any ‘thumb’ creases. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean for their age. The spine is in very good++ condition and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s tri ‘flip back’, ie ‘fold over’ edges design. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original period red and white EMI advertising sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There are some light age related marks here and there.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent+ condition. Side two is in excellent condition. The record is made from the period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: YEX 685 – 1, on side one the matrix appears engraved twice !, see photo, and YEX 686 – 1,

The mother / stampers are: ‘1 R’, very early and ‘1 G’, the earliest you can get.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent. Side two plays near excellent, side two plays with some light ‘crackle’ heard here and there. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period stereo sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in near MINT condition. Side two is in excellent ++ condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION. BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVE, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
