PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1966 first pressing in glorious MONO ...the mono release contains different song mixes from the stereo issue as well as a pronounced punch in the sound production...
A unique USA first pressing issued in the USA as "Beat Group" and titled "Would You Believe?" in the UK. Both Lp's were released in 1966 and feature different tracks from each other.
One of the stand-out tracks is the classic Sorrows claim to fame "I Take What I Want", a powerful raver number with infectious sound ,,,as well, The Hollies rave-up with a take on The Beatles "Mr Moonlight" which is not on the UK version of the Lp. A sign of growth for the band on Beat Group includes the Chip Taylor cover "I Can't Let Go," a major hit for the band. The Hollies self-written songs are also considered to be among the more progressive tunes on the album: "Hard Hard Year," "Oriental Sadness," "Fifi the Flea," and "I've Got a Way of My Own." "Fifi," had lyrics outside of the band's norm; "Oriental Sadness" featured distinctly Asian-sounding chords; and "Hard Hard Year" and "I've Got A Way Of My Own" (which had previously appeared on the B-Side of "If I Needed Someone") are both folk-rock grooves with outta-sight harmonies as only the early Hollies could do.

CONDITION: The cover: is strong and solid all over, STRONG collection worthy: "EX" (excellent) = would have been M- but for a tiny sticker pull at top right, otherwise strong M- everywhere and in great shape with bright original colors, No seam splits, no bends. no writing...
The vinyl: both sides are shiny clean M- TOP COPY ...plays minty-excellent zones with no problems...both Imperial labels are clean
