In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Released in late 1968, the irresistibly titled Hard 'N' Heavy (With Marshmallow) introduced a retooled Paul Revere and the Raiders lineup, with Mark Lindsay and Paul Revere joined by: bassist/songwriter Keith Allison, guitarist and future star Freddy Weller, and drummer Joe Correro. The new members help to lend a harder edge that's in keeping with the spirit of the late '60s and the emerging FM album underground-rock format, without sacrificing the catchy melodic sensibility that had originally made the Raiders Agarage-rock heroes. The group's ongoing potency is demonstrated on such memorable numbers as "Mr. Sun, Mr. Moon," "Cinderella Sunshine," Time After Time" and "Out on That Road,
Paul Revere & the Raiders featuring Mark Lindsay followed up their hip 1968 opus "Something Happening" with the slightly more straight ahead rocking "Hard 'N' Heavy (with marshmallow)". The title itself was a reference to Paul Revere and Mark Lindsay co-hosting the top teen TV "Happening" show which aired from March 1968 to September 1969, and remained very popular. By 1968, the Raiders changed with the times, underground FM radio had emerged and to that end, they dropped the revolutionary war costumes, and spent more time in the studio (with Mark as producer) coming up with rock music that could compete with the increasingly experimental sounds in late 60's rock. Although Mark had used studio players on some Raiders records in the past, this album features the group as the core of the project, with guest spots from legendary guitarists Ry Cooder (Captain Beefheart/Magic Band and solo fame) plus James Burton (Elvis Presley's guitar master). Joe Correro, Jr. was quite an improvement on drums, performing difficult drum fills. Keith Allison was a seasoned studio pro who had played on Raiders sessions even before he joined the group, and could play bass, guitar, and keyboards with equal proficiency. Paul Revere, of course, helped define the group's sound with his rockin' keys and Vox organ. As for Mark Lindsay, he was one of rock & roll's great voices -ever, equally at home on loud growling rockers. Mark was also a great producer - listen to the layers of sound he arranged on "Cinderella Sunshine". It's a psychedelic blend of marimba, organ, tack piano, and fuzz guitar that goes on for 4 minutes. The hardest rocker on this album is "Time After Time"....
