PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! UNDERESTIMATED LP!! STILL Unknown to many - this is one of Bob Seger's BEST albums, filled with heavy-edged gritty rockers that make a statement in regard to rowdy Detroit rock!
Thee scarce Original 1970 first pressing = vastly underrated 2nd SEGER SYSTEM...in many ways this Lp kicks ass as great as their first LP or better...on the hard to find first pressing LIME GREEN Capitol label that was only in print a very short time...CLEAN originals from 48 years ago - like this - are harder to find than you can imagine ...here, a CLEAN first press:
Before the flood of testosterone and confidence gave way to a mere trickle from his mangina, Bob Seger was one of the biggest badasses to ever be associated with rock and roll. Just listen to “Heavy Music” or “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man” and you are left dumbfounded that this man later wrote commercial 'hits' like “Night Moves” and “Against the Wind.” He was cocksure and in control of his raucous band that was able to combine 60s hard hitting garage rock and gratuitous riffery that would stand up with anyone... This music was so male and gritty that it seemed as if he would fight you in an instant.
1970's Mongrel is a thrilling growler, as a metallic boogie rock takes it rightful place. We love the first Bob Seger System, but Mongrel snarls in a wholly different manner. Mongrel is a fitting title since it has digested soul, rock and blues and spit it out with a snarl usually lacking in all three genres. It is such a tight, vicious album that makes you wish there were more Seger albums in this vein. This is the last time you’ll see this Bob Seger in such consistent form. After Mongrel, this erupting phallus quickly shrunk and Seger became Buffalo Bill and performed the lamb dance.
Every song on this album is top notch Bob Seger hard rock and smokes!
Teachin Blues flat out honks! we defy anyone to listen to this album and say it doesn't flat out crank. Segers voice on this album was at it's ballsy best and will flatten almost anything! Lucifer is another stomper. Great lyrics tremendous beat and rhythm.
River Deep Mountain High is a ripper. Recorded live - this band just hands down kicks some serious ass!
All in all, fantastic vocals, scorching leads, and thundrous drums. Beg, buy, or steal a copy of Mongrel you won't regret it...then::::

Has the standard Capitol promo circle at top right, still has a fresh appearance -- there are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing ... VERY collection worthy artifact from 46 years back ...
The vinyl: Rated: M- ALL clean and glossy - easily plays with very enjoyable CLEAN audio ...play back should not reveal alarming distracting surface problems ... both labels are clean
