Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. As hard as the 1970 ($200+ valued) first press is to find, this old 20+ years 2nd press is as hard or even harder to find given that it was a mere 300 or so micro-reissue ... here, still in clean collectible shape... the underground UK band has a unique blend of early atmospheric progressive rock blends featuring late 60's styled Deep Purple organ...
This is a band whose concept album is based on the Ten Commandments. Each track deals with a different commandment. The album, which was produced by Miki Dallon, and is dominated by Bob Leaper's arrangements, but there are also some good melodies, strong vocals and organ work... and powerful drumming. The best tracks are those where the arrangements are more discreet: "He Is My God", on which the melody sounds like King Crimson in places; "Images", which features strong vocals, good drumming and organ work; the mellow and melodic "People" and "False Witness", a good progressive piece with some fine guitar leads and powerful organ. In a minor way, the self composed (original) tracks incorporate elements of early King Crimson, early Deep Purple (pre-Machine Head) and early Genesis with an organ dominated sound. ....
The record was something of an enigma -- apparently it never got distributed very widely even in England, where it was recorded and released (making it very rare) and was never officially issued in the United States. Salamander take the 'Ten Commandments' concept and run with it most effectively, backed by some occasional orchestral accompaniment, but mostly the quartet pounding away, highly melodic and sometimes a bit heavy but always interesting. Dave Titley's guitar work isn't in Ritchie Blackmore's league, but his voice is powerful and expressive,and A.B. Benson's organ work was of at least the same caliber as Jon Lord of this period.
