We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. SCARCE 1972 BRITISH only first issue in gatefold cover on the highly collected DECCA label...The 2nd LP by Phil Lynott's THIN LIZZY

The mighty THIN LIZZY were a dangerously good three-piece at this point - PHILIP LYNOTT on Vocals and Bass, ERIC BELL on Guitars and Keyboards with BRIAN DOWNEY on Drums.

With Lynott's melody capabilities expanding fast, the album was a varied mix of styles - very infectious melodies that grab hold upon repeat plays. You get the visionary singer-songwriter grooves on "Brought Down", then the out-and-out rocker on "Baby Face" and "Call The Police" - and even the shaker "Chatting Today". Other highlights include the opening drums and guitar of "The Rise And Dear Demise..." and it has huge sound. The lovely "Buffalo Gal" (used as a B-side to "Little Darling" in 1974) is a sweet of a tune and sounds superb too. "I Don't Want To Forget About The Jive" - its mock rock 'n' roll construction that isn't a standout but works. "Sarah" is another very pretty ballad featuring beautiful keyboard accompaniment by CLODAGH SIMONDS of the legendary "Mellow Candle." Simonds also adds Harpsichord and Mellotron to the seven-minute big album finisher "Shades Of A Blue Orphanage".

CONDITION: The sleeve: fragile UK gatfold cover is VG+(+) with light wear (on back) overall collectible...no alarming problems...no split seams ...should work for most = only light visual handling...has an old import sticker on front cover...

The vinyl: all glossy, clean visuals, rated "EX" (excellent) plays strong and enjoyful without surface distractions .Both Decca labels are clean
