Description

Fred McDowell, I Do Not Play No Rock n' Roll (Capitol E-ST 409) (1970).

Recorded by Tommy Couch for Malaco Productions, this was probably McDowell's most artistically satisfying recording with electric guitar. This is the original UK issue, but in the form of two 12" single-sided test pressings, with the original EMI accompanying sheet of "General Information Details" with track listing, composer and other credits, etc. In polythene-lined paper sleeve within a white card sleeve.

Condition: discs are clean and without visible signs of wear or damage. Accompanying sheet has a 3" tear, repaired with sellotape, and is a little faded. Card sleeve somewhat grubby. Fine music, and scarce in this form.
