Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. This is the long long gone first (exact) repress (approx 20 years ago) of the legendary '68 "DARIUS" album, The pressing is known to have the best sound quality next to the original having been cut in direct analog and has not been digitalized in any way (see the "Acid Archives" bible notes for more on early 2nd-issues before dreaded digitalization became available)
Backing band "Goldenrod" are the stars on this album along with the spellbinding voice of "DARIUS". Drenched in psychedelics all over the place, the album from 1968 features ten original efforts, songs like"Shades of Blue", "Ancient Paths" and "Hear What I Say" offer up a great blend of dark Psychedelic moves. Darius was the recording pseudonym for "Bobby Ott", a singer and songwriter from Euclid, Ohio.In the mid-1960s relocated to Los Angeles where he attracted the attention of the Hollywood-based"Chartmaker label".
The resulting eponymous LP is a stunning combination of thoughtful songs and superbly crafted playing - file under: 'Psychedelic', it transcends easy categorization.
The record was imaginatively arranged and produced, with flourishes of razor FUZZ guitar, odd echo-tinkles, and some dynamic organ and bass hooks adding to its overall air of idiosyncrasy. All said the DARIUS album is hailed as a holy grail in one of the all time classics for 60´s collectors! Darius the psychedelic “King” is an extraordinary songwriter, poet and singer with a very remarkable voice. Darius was backed by fantastic musicians, Jerry Scheff, Ben Benay and Toxey French well known in the LA studio-scene, they recorded the rare highly collectible album: "Goldenrod". On the DARIUS album they cut loose, decorating tracks like "Mist-Veiled Garden" and "Blow My Mind" with amazing Fuzz guitar and sitar remaining the perfect backing for the impact vocals...
