PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original first pressing only issued as a limited edition back 20 years ago...the 1967 songs have NEVER been released on vinyl except for their highly demanded 45 which is included here
Sugar Cube Blues Band only released a single in their brief history (heard on this album) -- the album contains previously unreleased material. Oh, and don't let the name fool you, the Sugar Cube Blues Band are not blues.
Both their 45 A & B sides Shades of Life and My Last Impression are classic garage fuzz punk tunes. How did the Nuggets / Pebbles series forget these gems?
The Sugar Cube Blues Band were from Grenada/Mississippi and their most notable song was "My Last Impression" from their sole 7-inch which can also be heard on the "Psychedelic Experience Vol. 1" and "Gravel Vol. 3" compilations. All the rest of the grooves on this album were recorded back in 67 and released for the first time 30 years later by mighty Rockadelic label and are a mix of psych driven semi-hard rock, and acoustic guitar driven, singer/song writer style folk, a nice diverse mix of high quality tunes that become very catchy with repeat spins. Like many of the great '60s bands the group was virtually ignored by major labels who were more interested in finding commercial radio-friendly groups, which these guys were not.
