Description

South Georgia Highballers, Green River Train/Mister Johnson, Turn Me Loose (Okeh 45166) (1927).

This unusual record by a trio from around Macon, GA, features, for the only time on record, the musical saw playing of Albert Everidge, accompanied by his brother Zander on guitar and Melgie Ward (fiddle/vocal). Mister Johnson, Turn Me Aloose is the only recording of this ragtime-era "coon song" by a country stringband. 

V. A very well-loved copy, with considerable wear, but not much damage beyond a couple of scr, and with some surviving gloss. Water damage to label on Mr Johnson.
Not common.
