PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Terrific jangle & fuzz guitar structured garage teen sensations from 1967 ...THE LUTINS made two sought and collected cool albums ...here's their first, and its a good one, on par with some of the better U.S. garage bands of the mid sixties...with tracks strong enough that at least one made an early 'Pebbles' 60's garage/punk nuggets comp...
Performing strongly in the club circuit in 1967, The Lutins band were picked up by the larger Carrousel label. They subsequently scored a local 45rpm hit with their first Carrousel release. As was standard marketing procedure, the single's success led the company to rush the group into the studio to record a supporting LP. No additives, you get the straight band with their charming sound led by jangle & fuzz guitars, and musically this set's quite impressive. Tracks such as 'Je Cherche ('I'm Searching'), 'Pretty Girl', 'Laissez-nous Vivre' ('Let Us Live') and 'Donne-moi Raison' ('Give Me a Reason') offer up a series of scorching garage rockers. Strong melodies, some pleasant to snotty vocals (courtesy of Simon), jangley to searing fuzz guitars ... if these guys had been an American garage band, they would have been massive cult stars! This LP's better than 75% of their Anglo competitors. Add to that the fact hearing strong garage rock with the French lyrics is actually kind of cool -- the more you play it, the stronger it gets. Don't be afraid, the first LUTINS album is a gem in the rough...

CONDITION: The cover: the colorful FRONT group cover is in great "EX" (excellent) shape for a 47 year old '60s teen-scene cover...the back cover with some light wear beginning and check marks by song titles, otherwise all solid both sides, no seam splits, no bends, no writing ...small delete drill at top left ...still with fresh original colors... collection worthy rarity ...
The vinyl: retains original gloss; visually VG++ few little hairthin scuffs that are not audible, looks fine and plays outstanding, EXcellent all the way through both sides...both "Carousel" labels are clean
