Up for sale is a scarce surfing instrumental album by The Royals entitled Royally Yours, Vagabond Records MR-3117, Monophonic, thick vinyl, blue label with silver print. I believe this is from 1962. It is signed by the keyboard player, 'To Boyd, a Great musician and friend, Best of Luck, Larry'


This album is instrumental, has a couple jazz guitar tunes on it, a couple cuts are elevator type surf (similar to Perfida) and a couple cuts are true rockin' surf, with that cool tremelo vibrato guitar effect. My three favorite songs are Summertime, Watermelon Man, and Shangri-la.

These guys produced some good 45 singles, Legoon Surf (re-named Lagoon Surf) b/w Wild Safari, and Christmas Party b/w White Christmas.  The Royals were Larry Riera Accordian and Piano (the accordian by the way sounds soft like a Hammond organ NOT polka music!) Al King Guitar, Tony Castro Drums, and Paul Fosmore Bass (Paul is a guest on this record) It is produced by Franke Dante

Condition- The vinyl is VG+ Nice and shiny, has that deep lustre, has not been over played. There is a very light scuff on side 2, does not affect play. Labels look great, have only light spindle marks. A record that was carefully played a few times and stored in wax inner sleeve. The cover has overall wear light wear, all the seams are good, corners good, no bends. Truly in great condition, you will be pleased to see it. And such a scarce surf LP for your collection.
