Description

[I had some trouble with my Weeping Willow tree today while taking pictures - it kept hurling excess dead leaves onto my photo table! Soon as I'd sweep them away, out would come a new batch.  So I went with the flow.]


I don't know where the "Gangplank" club was, but going by this record, it must have been a lively, fun place indeed!  EARL GRESH AND HIS GANGPLANK ORCHESTRA supply six minutes of peppy, hot dance music, with plenty of jazzical touches, on this 1926 Columbia release: “SCATTER YOUR SMILES,” and “TENDERLY.” These are two fine and copasetic numbers which will inspire you to roll back the carpets and do the Black Bottom. 

 

This original 1926 “Viva-Tonal” Columbia 693-D is in lovely EE+ condition.
