Description
This is a very rare 1965 R&B compilation LP issued in the UK on Columbia (EMI) containing many rare cuts by British R&B acts of the time. It has clearly been well looked after over the years, and the vinyl in particular is in quite stunning condition. It is the first, and I suspect only pressing. (XAX 2810-1/XAX 2811-1)
The disc looks almost as good as new. The two surfaces of the LP are glossy and completely unmarked and there are no scratches. The disc plays without any clicks, jumps or background crackle. This is a complete joy is a joy to listen to! Bear in mind that most copies of this will have been heavily trashed at parties, etc.
Easily rates Ex +++!
The laminated sleeve is shiny, with little creasing evident. The spine is firm and legible. The rear flipback is unmarked but shows a little yellowing and light lift in one corner. An ‘Emitex’ inner is present. Rates VG ++
