THE HOLY GRAIL FOR BRUCKNER AFICIONADOS. THE GERMAN PRESSING IS DEFINITELY OBSCURE AND OPAQUE COMPARED TO THE DEFINED, CLEAR AND AIRINESS OF THIS ENGLISH ORIGINAL. NOTE THAT THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE EMI WHITE AND GOLD ENGLISH AND THE ODEON BLACK IS BECAUSE IN AMERICA WHEN THIS RECORD WAS IMPORTED BY PETERS INTERNATIONAL BACK IN 1965 TO AVOID COPYRIGHT PROTECTION THIS LABEL HAD TO BE AFFIXED. IT HAS THE SAME STAMPERS AS THE EMI WHITE AND GOLD. INDEED, IT IS ONE AND THE SAME. POSITIVELY GUARANTEED!

RATING OF LP RECORDS:

M = Mint record, plays like new.

NM = Excellent playback, insignificant surface noise.

NM- = Still excellent, more noise or scuffs but can be cleaned.

VG+ = This record is a collectable and hard to find. Some noise is there as well as small  surface marks but still plays very well with audiophile equipment.

VG = More surface noise and marks. This record can only be played for its historical quality. Still very serviceable.
