“VIRGIN KILLER”

ULTRA MEGARARE and almost impossible to find original RCA Victor Records very first STEREO press released in Chile in 1977 by RCA Records, made and distributed by Industria De Radio Y Televisión S.A. Records (IRT Records), licensed from RCA Corporation, with traditional orange/black labels and white “RCA Victor”, with original German catalog number PPL1-4225, with hand etched matrix numbers PPL1-4225-A EB-CD in Side 1 and PPL1-4225-A EB-CD in Side 2. It’s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it’s written the exact date of pressing, “19177” (January 19th of 1977)!!! So, yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile and a MUST for all Scorpions collectors and fans and of course for all collectors of rarities worldwide!!!

“VIRGIN KILLER” was originally released in October 9th of 1976 and only after less than three months, in January 1977, we got it here in Chile and like many cases of that period with and UNIQUE COVER!!! The cover is a thin non-laminated flipback cover made with a single piece of cardboard folded in the middle, with back cover pasted on the flip of front cover at bottom edge and front cover pasted on the flip of back cover at the top edge. As you can see front and back covers keep strictly the original artwork, with the UNCENSORED NUDE PHOTO of the girl!!! WOW!!! In the years of a strict military dictatorship it’s impossible to know how many copies of this album with original cover were released by RCA Records in Chile, but in accord to “normal” number of copies of “new” releases, only about 300-500 copies were pressed!!! In front and back cover all the text is written in English, but in back cover the tracklist is also translated to Spanish, with full credits for songwriters, with sides identified as “Lado Uno” (Side One) and “Lado Dos” (Side Two), written in Spanish only. The credits are also written in English only with the difference that in Chile they omitted the “Contact Address”. In labels the album title is written in English only and the tracklist is written in English, translated to Spanish, with full credits for songwriters. In labels you can also see the Chilean catalog numbers, LPVE-8548, in Side 1 and LPVE-8549 in Side 2. It’s interesting to notice that in Spanish translation of second song, “CATCH YOUR TRAIN (ALCANZA TU TREN (Shenker-Meine)”, they missed the symbol “)” after the word “Train”. So, here you have the chance to own this great album by Scorpions with this UNIQUE COVER, UNCENSORED NUDE PHOTO, date of pressing etched in each side of the vinyl and Spanish-written song titles!!! No more than 500 copies were released here in Chile!!! And this is the very first time this record is available in eBay!!! And what a superb condition!!! And more, this copy also includes the original add paper inner sleeve which includes a picture of this album and don’t worry about the corners, both corners are factory cut!!! AMAZING FIND!!! NEVER SEEN IN eBay BEFORE!!! WOW!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX- or EX condition both the front and back cover, clean and clear, no missing parts, no blemishes, no rips, only moderate wear in corners and some light creases, faint ring marks but not seam splits. The original cover is non-laminated but some past owner had the idea to use tape to laminate the cover and it has worked really very well to keep the cover almost intact. The inner cover is in absolute NM- or NM condition, only with very light creases, no marks, rips or even seam splits at all. The record is in superb NM or NM+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, no scratches, no hairlines, only some very light scuffs impossible to see at first sight, which of course don’t affect play. Labels on both sides are in NM or NM+ condition, clean and clear with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is the best part, it’s in absolute NM- or NM condition both sides, loud, clear and clear, no background noise at all (background noise was normal in most of records pressed in Chile), only some very light occasional crackles hard to heard, more evident in the silent parts between songs, which don’t cause any distraction from the great sound this album keeps from the beginning to the end, most of songs play in absolute NM+ condition. Overall this record has been really cared and played gently, and you already should know that it’s a MUST TO HAVE no matter the condition, NEVER SEEN in eBay before, maybe the rarest issue of “Virgin Killer” with the uncensored cover released worldwide!!! And keep in mind the UNIQUE COVER and the Spanish-written song titles!!! Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! Only about 300-500 copies pressed in Chile!!! WOW!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
