Soul Side 1. (A Case Of) Too Much Lovemakin' Side 2. What Am I Gonna Do

American soul singer Gloria Scott didn't leave a huge catalogue behind, but the work she did record feels lasting and these two tracks show why people still return to her every time. '(A Case Of) Too Much Lovemakin' rolls in with soft strings, a firm backbeat and a vocal that feels completely locked into the groove. It's smooth without drifting into softness, the kind of tune that sounds settled from the first bar. 'What Am I Gonna Do' steps into a slower, more open space, giving Scott room to shape each line with a calm, steady touch. Together they show how much clarity and poise she carried in her voice. Two tracks that explain her reputation better than anything written about her.
