Description

Scott Walker/Scott 3 (1969) - Philips SBL. 7882 Stereo

“Narcissus in metamorphis tearing at his well known image behind which he hides his unknown face grey rains and trains cascading crying strings tracing dribbling rivulets down beaded window panes.” Keith Altham (As featured on the reverse of the gatefold sleeve).

This is a beautiful listening copy. The sleeve is VG the LP is VG+. In terms of the LP this is a conservative grading. For example on side two the play back of 30th Century Man is EX+ (along with the rest of side two) as you hear the opening strums of Scott’s acoustic guitar.

Originally released in 1969 (the same year as Scott 4) it is becoming increasingly difficult to find an original pressing. Ten of the thirteen songs are by Scott. The last three are definitive interpretations of  Jacques Brel. Scott 3 is often described as there favourite album by Walker enthusiasts. This is due to the exceptional arrangements and ground-breaking song writing. More pictures can be provided on request. International bidders please contact me for Airmail shipping rates.
