SCRITTI POLITTI - HOW TO MAKE A RECORD (UK, LONDON 1979 - 1980) - ORIGINAL DIY PUNK GUIDE/BOOKLET GRAPEVINE SCRIT 3 Original & scarce DIY guide created by Scritti Politti following the success of the BBC's Grapevine program on how to make a record. This catalogue carries a code SCRIT 3 that belong to the band's own St. Pancras Records (SCRIT 1 and SCRIT 2 being the band's early DIY releases on St. Pancras before they sign with Rough Trade). According to the credits at the back cover 1,000 of this booklet were printed. There is no date on the booklet and most probably was printed in 1980 although the BBC documentary was from 1979. The booklet includes guidelines and instructions on how to make your own record, all stages and with full details and examples. Really amazing work.
