One of a nice collection of Classical rarities we have just had in, a single cherished and many barely played lps.
UK Decca SDD 420 ( genuine 2nd issue of one of the most expensive SXL's, but in better sound) Bizet: Carmen Fantasie Sarasate: Zigeunerweisen from the great Ruggiero Ricci with the LSO Gamba .
Record in Near Mint condition, no feelable marks and very clean playing surfaces, Sleeve is Excellent. No splits or creases, one neat name in fountain pen light age dirt. Labels are clean as seen in pics. Original FFSS inners excellent, the little sign of wear to this suggesting as do the lack of many spindle trails that this has not been played much in its 56 year life. A highly regarded top collectable SXL. in an earliest type pressing, with nice low stampers.
Heard throughout, this played near mint with the minimum amount of pops without even being cleaned.
