This is the original 1963 Capitol album T 2002 - CHECKERED FLAG. Recorded by DICK DALE AND HIS DEL TONES it is a MONO LP and should include the Capitol issued inner sleeve. The album itself should be in "as issued" condition or "MINT". Using the Goldmine grading system I would  grade it NM to M-or better ( I try to grade conservatively). The album jacket is still in the original shrink wrap and also maintains it's shine under the wrap. There are a couple of tears in the shrink wrap but no marks, stickers or holes. It is NOT a cut out.  It would also grade it "NM" or better. Songs include: The Scavenger, Surf Buggy, Hot Rod Racer, Mag Wheels, Big Black Cad, Ho-Dad Machine, Grudge Run, Motion, 426-Super Stock, The Wedge, It Will Grow On You and Night Rider. Included is a brief description of Grades to help clarify them for the novice collector. NEAR MINT (NM or M-): A nearly perfect record. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this. Basically an lp in Near Mint condition looks as if you just got it home from the record store and removed it from the shrink wrap. VERY GOOD PLUS: "record will show signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect ones listening experience. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. An LP jacket may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole". VERY GOOD: Surface noise will be evident upon playing but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them". GOOD/GOOD PLUS: "A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. A jacket or sleeve will have seem splits. Tape writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object". S/H is Priority w/tracking & includes a new album mailer (ins. extra).
