All the Songs from Walt Disney's Uncle Remus
Here's a rare, sealed, unopened copy of the 1963 LP vinyl record release, All the Songs from Walt Disney's Uncle Remus, released as 1205 in the Disneyland Record catalog numbering system. This is the variant #1205 without the DQ-1205 prefix seen on other albums.
This 1963 version was a reissue of the 1950s Song of the South WDL soundtrack. It contains music recorded from the 1946 movie soundtrack, including performances of the title song, Academy Award winner James Baskett, Johnny Lee, Academy Award winner Hattie McDaniel of Gone with the Wind fame, all the songs from the film, really.
The back cover features still photos from the film, including Bobby Driscoll and Luana Patten, as well as animation cel scenes of the characters who later were featured in Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
The music was scored by Daniele Amfitheatrof and Paul J. Smith, with vocal arrangements by Ken Darby.
