In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. The 1967 first Red Crayola album remains their most notorious and extreme effort. Featuring 13th floor Elevators singer/guitarist Roky Erikson on a couple of tracks. The 1967 recording was a glorious night with the music of the 'Rebellation Generation'. Rick, Steve and Mayo, 'The Red Crayola' -- had come to Andrus Studio with a few of their friends, 50 friends to be exact, to record a FREE-FORM FREAK-OUT album. They brought with them their own form of music, -- a bell, buzzsaw, motor cycle, guitars, drums, organs, bottles, stockes, mouth bow, rocks, balloons, kazoos, flutes, piccolos, a hammer, jugs and just about every other item you can think of that makes noise, but then 'Beauty is in the eyes of the Beholder' -- and what is noise to one is Beautiful Music to another. The studio engineer watched for two hours as a young man made his music by striking two match sticks together. He had apparently flashed -- and to him this was his beautiful music (his girl friend kept time by blowing in a pop bottle). "Limited definitions define limit and one can go just so far. Here we go..." -- Mayo Thompson. The Red Crayola (later Thee Red Krayola) was a psychedelic, avant-garde rock band from Houston, Texas, formed by art students at the university of St. Thomas (Texas) in 1966. They made noise rock, psychedelia and occasionally folk/rural songs, an approach delivering the lo-fi aesthetics of charm, later worshiped by 1990's Indie copy bands.
"The Parable Of Arable Land" remains one of the most infamous releases on the highly sought Internationa Artists label. A “free form freak-out” segues each of the actual songs, often resurfacing again elsewhere within the songs. The songs introduce mainstay Mayo Thompson's signature style of abstract lyrics wed to minimalist (and often avant-garde) melodies and rhythms.
“The Familiar Ugly” refers to the fifty or-so friends of the band who provide the “Free Form Freak-Outs”. they were instructed by the band to play whatever they pleased. The album itself was recorded in a single session, featuring the band (then consisting of Mayo Thompson on guitar and vocals, Steve Cunningham and Rick Barthleme on bass drums), playing live with the familiar ugly.

CONDITION: FACTORY SEALED Solid and thick cover with bright original colors, special copy as the back cover is very hard to find without wear as it's black, this copy is a final collection copy NO WEAR.
