Description: Front Cover: Black with prism, and ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING in a yellow strip across the top. Matte. On the 1st edition, the "ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING" lettering across the top of the cover is in straight block letters. The 2nd edition, released in 1981, has the "ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING" lettering across the top of the cover in italicized letters. Back Cover: Black with an inverted prism, and ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING in a yellow strip across the top. The "ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING" lettering across the top of the cover is in straight block letters. At the bottom is the MFSL logo, the Harvest logo, and "MANUFACTURED & DISTRIBUTED BY MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB UNDER LICENSE FROM CAPITOL RECORDS, INC. P 1973 THE GRAMOPHONE COMPANY, LIMITED." Inside Cover: Black with heartbeat line, lyrics, and credits. To the right of the credits, it says: Super High Definition Vinyl (extended life) Imported Pressing Static Free Inner-Sleeve Source: the original stereo master tape Inner Sleeve: The record is housed in a special static-free inner sleeve. Inserts: 1) A white, cardboard, 4-page, wrap-around inner sleeve cover with "SUPERDISCS, SUPERTAPES, SUPERSTARS, SUPERQUALITY" on the front, and "An Audiophile's Dream Come True" on the back. The inside is blank. 2) An 8 inch by 5 inch yellow certificate of Limited Warranty from Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, with a form on back for return of a defective record. 3) An 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch advertisement for MSFL that with a picture of a record coming out of a sleeve. Plastic Cover: Released sealed in a clear-plastic cover. Cover Stickers: 1) Early 1st edition copies had a cover sticker with the text "SUPER HIGH FIDELITY LIMITED EDITION PRESSING ENCLOSED! 1978 MFSL."
2) Later copies were issued with two cover stickers. One was a square white sticker that said "HALF-SPEED MASTERED SUPER HIGH FIDELITY LIMITED EDITION." The second sticker was red and said "A BRAND NEW EXPERIENCE!"
History: Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab first began releasing vinyl LPs in 1978. These "Original Master Recordings" were custom pressed in Yokohama, Japan by the Victor Company of Japan (JVC) on Super Vinyl, an exclusive compound that was used to achieve maximum clarity and quietness. The results were some of the finest audio quality albums ever made. The first Pink Floyd Original Master Recording album released by MFSL was Dark Side of the Moon, issued in June of 1979. It was the 17th overall release by the company.

Record Condition: The virgin vinyl album is still in the original factory seal
Cover Condition: Gatefold cover is still sealed and covered in its original factory wrap. The wrap has some wear as seen in photos.
