Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1969 first pressing ... the RARE second album by GIANT CRAB on the collectible Uni label ...
Consistent follow-up by late sixties sunny popsike drenched crew. With eight short FM-formatted songs per side this seems like their ultimate (or desperate) grasp for stardom. Except for the 1st narrated 'soundtrack' intro, the songs definitely sound memorable and obviously bear strong hit-potential; some tracks should have been, some might have been, but most simply weren't, which is a damn shame because they're all compact and cleverly composed. The main themes emphasise won and lost love and the obvious psychedelic escapism from it all. A big plus goes to the vocals which are crystalline clear, powerfully strong and lavishly arranged. A professionally produced and remarkably fresh sounding album. Released in 1969, "Cool It ... Helios" found the band opting for a concept piece. Apparently based on Greek mythology, the plotline alluded us too. Like the debut, the album started out with another Johnny Fairchild rambling leadoff narrative. Unfortunately, "The Invasion of Helios" didn't do much to explain what was happening. Overall the band's pop-rock sound remained largely unchanged, though numbers such as "Help Yourself", "Hello Yesterday" and "Welcome To the World" continued the band's drift towards FM radio stardom. Elsewhere, with it's sitar lead, "Who Can Teach the Songbird How To Sing" was among the numbers harkening back to their psychedelic roots. The psyched-out cover design IS neat.
