PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. From Genesis to Revelation was the first album by Genesis, released in England on March 1969 by Decca Records. It was produced by Jonathan King, who discovered them in 1967 while the members of Genesis were pupils at Charterhouse School, King's alma mater.

Peter Gabriel's first album...Produced by Jonathan "Everyone's gone to the moon" King, this is basically a songcycle concept lp about God, nature, love and hate. King's brilliant idea to have a glossy black cover with no info had record stores in England placing it in the "religious" section, no one bought it in the long run. The tracks all run into each other by way of tiny keybpard connections or little instrumental bits. Very nice. Peter's voice, though higher pitched and younger sounding, still has the same sound we all love and cherish
All the ingredients of future Genesis album are here: great melody, neat composition. What lacking was probably the complexity as a progressive rock album. It's fine because almost songs are excellent. In The Beginning, Fireside Song, The Serpent and others are all great tracks!
The first full-length release from Genesis, FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION, was recorded while the band were still teenagers in prep school. Highlights include "In The Beginning" which has a nice aggressive feeling in it, with straightforward acoustic guitars, and Peter is doing preachy vocals about the creation of man: "It has begun, you're in the hands of destinyYY!". The track begins with strange organ sound, and is a quite good one really. "The Serpent" continues with the genesis-themed lyrics. There's a very funny chorus going from one single note behind the singing! There are also no orchestrations and some keyboards instead here. "In The Wilderness" is also a great performance, Peter gets to do some powerful singing, and the composition is nice. Electric guitar on 'The Conqueror' stands out from the pastoral psych tones of the whole, while 'One Eyed Hound' closes in swaggering style ..."The Conqueror" has a gospel kind of feeling done by acoustic piano and guitar driving the song, and Peter is again singing about "The day of justice". "Window" has also a very peculiar feeling of The GENESIS sound in it's beginning, though it's a quite dull song otherwise. "Silent Sun" was a minor hit overseas in and sounds like the the charts pick to click...
