LP-Title: Dom Um Romão - Saudades

Original factory-sealed US-pressing from 1991 on WATER LILY ACOUSTICS, WLA-CS-16. Recorded in the First Presbyterian Church, Santa Barbara, CA, February, 1990. Limited Edition, One Step Plating Process. Audiophile recording and mastering on custom-built vacuum-tube equipment, all infos are given on the cover’s back.

This record has received the highest rating in Arthur Salvatore’s list on high-endaudio.com, it belongs to “ The Divinity ” of the 25 finest sounding records ever made. He considers the record to be the “ Finest Unconventional Popular Music LP ” ever recorded. This is what he says: “ The sound on this record is absolutely breathtaking in its immediacy and dynamic qualities. It is extremely natural, with an incredible amount of depth, and has a "large sound". It also has a very low sound-floor, and with plenty of inner and outer details. The recording perspective is actually somewhat "laid back", in contrast to being upfront, which is what most people expect when they see "immediate". “.

The music is a blend of Afro-Brazilian and Afro-American artistic and spiritual elements, covering a variety of styles from jazz via samba or fado melancholy to african roots, scat-vocalizing and more. All tracks are self-penned. Unique music and one of the finest audiophile records, long out-of-print and extrtemely rare in factory-sealed condition.
