Description
Available for auction is a SEALED copy of Angel Stereo 35354 featuring violinist David Oistrakh (Oistrach) and pianist Vladimir Yampolsky. Featuring performances of works by Debussy, De Falla, Ysaye, Tchaikovsky, Suk, Kodaly Wieniawski, and Zarzycki.
Given the visual condition of the outer sleeve I am confidently inclined to believe that this record has never been opened nor played. A price sticker remains on the rear side. Given this, it is quite likely a first stereo label (red, with black/white angel). The buyer will get to enjoy the pleasure of opening the record, discovering the pressing numbers, and playing the disc for the first time, more than 50 years following its manufacture.
Recorded in 1958, this is an audiophile, import issue of UK Columbia SAX 2253.
