Rare, originally sealed out of print copy. It's rare to find a sealed copy of this album, one of the rarest in the Gordy catalogue. Bobby Taylor is among several that isn't included in the 2017 Milestones; he passed away last year at 80 years old. Now, Berry Gordy thought the Jackson 5 would get better exposure if new solo star Diana Ross would be known as the one who discovered the J5; but it was Bobby Taylor who actually discovered the group, advising BG to hold an audition, and the rest is history. Although Bobby Taylor wasn't a big presence (he only made 2 albums for Motown; unreleased songs came out years later), this group the Vancouvers is special, not only because of the interracial lineup, but because out of the group came one half of the successful comedy duo, Cheech & Chong. Thomas Chong was a songwriter and guitarist for the group before leaving to pair with Cheech Marin. This album is originally sealed with the 4 for 1 dollar sticker top right. Hard to let go, but I'm trying to make some cash to take my wife on a cruise in May, so I'm trying to get this trip paid off by going deep into my private collection.
