Description

Up for purchase is one (1) Very Rare BRAND NEW Never Opened Lab-1 Lincoln Mayorga & Distinguished Colleagues - Volume III – TAKE 6 (not Take 5) as Lincoln did two Master Recordings in 1974.  This record is Live Direct to Disc Vinyl 12" LP in Virgin Vinyl which was pressed in West Germany by Sheffield Lab Records.  A Master Recording – First Pressing!

Condition – A MINT Never Opened Record and Mint Sleeve Condition with Original Shrink Wrap Cover.  

Version – This is the rare Take 6 Version.  I also have the previous "Take 5" by Lincoln which has been opened but is Mint Vinyl listed.  

History -

This album is part of a large collection which I will be posting over the next few weeks which has been in my personal collection since they were purchased by a family member who was an audiophile.  He always bought two of each album, one to play and one to keep.  I’ve ended up with some of each and it’s time to share this collection with others.  A special room was added on to our home solely for the purpose of properly storing and cataloging the vinyl collection.  These records are as perfect as 50+ year old records can be!  The ones that were played were only played on Thorens turntables with an even more expensive stylus, through Nautilus speakers powered from another custom room addition to our house just for the various amps.  All those wires taught me quite a bit about electronics. 

What is a Direct to Disk?

A direct disc recording is a truly live performance, sent directly to a cutting lathe, whereby an entire side is recorded at one time: (any mistakes and the entire disc had to be discarded). There is no overdubbing, are no edits, and no punched-in phrases.

The Sheffield Labs LPs have been regarded by many as the best quality vinyl recordings ever produced!
