Lincoln Mayorga
The Missing Linc
Factory Sealed Sheffield LP on the original Tower label! The cover is in IMMACULATE COLLECTOR QUALITY CONDITION! You won't easily find one this nice. You practically never see sealed copies of this album, and to find sealed early pressings is even more unusual. It appears to be inventory from a local stereo store that closed decades ago. Luckily we were able to get more than one copy, but the supply is still quite limited. This is one of my all time favorite Direct to Discs! It gets our Highest Recommendation. Such a great album. I cut my Audiophile teeth on records like this. Some of them sound good today and some of them don't. I'm glad to say this one still does!
I was selling audio equipment (Audio Research, Fulton speakers) back in those days and this was a favorite demo disc at the time. The bass drum at the end of track two would shake the foundation with a big speaker like the Fulton J. Every bit as amazing to me was the string quartet on side 2. You could actually hear the musicians breathing and turning the pages on their music stands, just as if you were actually in their "living presence".
Just listen to the texture on the saxophone on Limehouse Blues -- you can really hear the leading edge transients of the brass, so important to the sound of those instruments. The strings sounds rich and full, and the drums are punchy. Track after track, the sound gets surprisingly more open and airy. The harpsichord has such great presence it jumps out of the speakers. Side Two had the best bass ever -- extending all the way into WHOMP land.
This is one of the albums that made me realize how good audio in the home could really be. In a way this was the Audiophile "Sgt. Pepper" of its day, a record that was so much better than anything else you'd ever heard it made you rethink the possibilities.

Love Rach NOTE ON PACKING AND SHIPPING You will never receive a record from us packed in a flimsy cardboard mailer. We use HEAVY DUTY oversized cardboard boxes with cardboard protectors sandwiching the record and plenty of bubble wrap all around. After more than twenty years in the record business one thing we know is how to pack records properly, so rest assured the package will arrive at your door safe and sound.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
We no longer ship records (and expensive CDs) using first class mail. If you pay by Paypal their policy states that we must insure the item and prove it arrived, which means it must ship Priority Mail. (We can declare a lower value as a rule. Please contact us for specifics.)
We also combine shipping for all our items. If you buy more than one record the cost of shipping is substantially less per record. Our web site has thousands of audiophile quality recordings, any of which can be combined with our ebay listings to lower the average cost of shipping your LPs.
This is a factory sealed record, long out of print. This record cannot be guaranteed against defects of any kind once opened. This item is only sold "as is".
