Hard to find, older issued and STILL SEALED exact 2ndpress of the very first hard psychedelic sounds of AMBROSE SLADE ...a nice square, flat with sharp corners pressing....
It's SLADE, the early 70's hard glamrocker band in their 1969 supreme freak-psych days! ...Think nothing of their early 70's fame sounds for this thriller was issued when the band was but a fledging unknown underground band ...they came up with a solid delivery of hard guitar led infectious "psych" tunes ... great playing, tight rhythms propelled by Holder's craggy voice -- musically the set is fairly diverse, including atmospheric hardpsych instrumentals ("Genesis"), conventional hard rock (Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild"), Mothers Of Invention ("Ain't Got No Heart"), psychedelia (The Amboy Dukes' "Journey To the Center of Your Mind"). All delivered with an overall style and consistancy that gets the approval from the "now sound" collector circles of the universe...highly rated indeeed and worth the score!
