Description

Howdy folks!

I'm unleashing a ton of VINTAGE VINYL here on ebay over the next few weeks - so be sure to check my other listings and check back for new additions! :)

This listing is for a SEALED LP of PHENOMENA - DREAM RUNNER.  From 1987, this concept LP was produced by RCA Records. US release - # 8420-1-R. The album includes Asia lead singer JOHN WETTON, RAY GILLEN (BADLANDS), BRIAN MAY (QUEEN), TONY MARTIN (BLACK SABBATH) and others...

This album is SEALED - VIRGIN VINYL, BABY! Being sealed, I presume the record is MINT!  The jacket also looks to be in excellent condition with the exception of being promo or cutout notched on the upper right corner. Otherwise, maybe a touch of wear at the corners... Other than the cutout, I'd consider the jacket to be NM, but please see pix to make your own assessment on the jacket condition.... I will provide pix of front, back and corners. If you are stickler on condition, PLEASE zoom and review the pix, I want you to be happy with your purchase! :)

I am always happy to combine shipping! When you pay for shipping on your first single LP - UNLIMITED SINGLE LPS SHIP FOR FREE! So check out my other albums! Simply make your purchases, using the 'add to cart' option - and shipping discount should be applied automatically! :) Also, if you would prefer your purchase shipped at a rate other than media mail (cheapest option) let me know and I will send you an adjusted invoice for upgraded shipping. :)

International buyers, please be advised that if your country charges any import taxes, they will be solely your responsibility, and I will not misrepresent your purchase as a 'gift' to avoid these charges. Thank you for your understanding. I will happily combine multiple purchases to save on shipping internationally as well! I will send an adjusted invoice based on weight to your country. :)

THANKS for looking!

From wiki:

Phenomena is a rock concept around a supergroup formed by record producer Tom Galley, Metalhammer magazine founder Wilfried Rimensberger[1] and Tom's brother, Whitesnake guitarist Mel Galley. Contributors were leading rock musicians such as Glenn Hughes, Brian May, Tony Martin and John Wetton amongst others. In a cover story, run by Kerrang! magazine in 1985, Phenomena's production of rock songs based on a story line running through a whole album, attached to artworks and other multi-media aspects was credited for the "return of the concept album" in the 1980s. Phenomena released three albums in the 1980s and early 1990s, and had a number one hit single in South America with "Did It All For Love", while the album charted across Europe, in Japan and Brazil. An accompanying music video[2] was shot and produced by Rimensberger in conjunction with Spidercom Films at London's Abbey Road Studios, and represented a video trailer for the Phenomena - Dream Runner movie project.

More albums followed without the involvement of Rimensberger and released under the branding of 'Tom Galley, the creator of Phenomena'. The latest, Blind Faith, was released in September 2010 and a final production is scheduled for release later this year. Whilst all were well received, they were not comparable to the original Phenomena as they lack the typical concept story running through the whole album, international, mixed genre musicians’ matrix and multi-media links. In interviews Tom makes clear, that these albums released under a solo contract with the Escape label, of which a final is due later this year, should not be compared with the original Phenomena. He has recently joined forces again with Rimensberger and the 2 are working together again for the first time in 25 years.

Phenomena has released that for the first time ever in the bands history they will perform live. The premier-gig will be at Sweden Rock Festival in June 2014, but it was canceled. There is a rumour about a secret gig in London being filmed in advance of Sweden Rock Festival.
