Description
The Beatles - Abbey Road - Signed Photograph of VERY RARE OUTAKE
Provenance from Iain Macmillan Included in sale!
You are bidding on a very rare framed outake photograph of The Beatles crossing the Abbey Road pelican crossing, opposite the Abbey Road studios on August 8th 1969.
You will note that the band are walking in the opposite direction from the famous album cover photograph, also taken by Iain Macmillan a few minutes later, still owned by EMI, and you will note that Paul McCartney is wearing sandals in this unique shot, which he famously omitted from the shot, used in the famous album cover.
This framed photograph of The Beatles - Abbey Road LP cover was one of 6 photographs taken on the day by Iain Macmillan, who was allowed 10 minutes to photograph the band, between sessions at the Abbey Road Studios.
Included in this unique ebay sale is a 'copy' of the hand sketched illustration by Paul McCartney of his concept for the photograph of the album cover, and provenance in the form of a hand written original note by Iain Macmillan on the back of Paul McCartneys copy notes for the album cover design.
There are 25 copies of this photograph in the world, signed by the photographer, this is the 12th of 25.
Good Luck!
