Description
This is another sale from my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
6 LP box set Decca SET 204 - 8, Georg Solti conducts Wagner's Tristan Und Isolde performed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The labels are wide band grooved 'Original Recording By' ED1 UK-61. Early grey 1st issue gold block spine box, in excellent condition, some scuffs on outside. Libretto (English and German) is included and is in excellent condition.
I have played this on my Linn Sondek and I have graded the records the best I can. The description is as follows
SET 204 Side 1 - visually VG, spindle marks, surface marks and faint scratches, plays with very few crackles
SET 204 Side 10 - visually VG, spindle marks, surface marks and faint scratches, plays with some ticks in places
SET 205 Side 2 - visually Excellent, some spindle marks, under strong light some marks and faint scratches, plays with very few crackles
SET 205 Side 9 - visually Excellent, some spindle marks, under strong light some marks and faint scratches, plays with very few crackles
SET 206 Side 3 - visually Excellent, some spindle marks, under strong light some marks and faint scratches, plays with tick in last quarter of record
SET 206 Side 8 - visually VG, spindle marks, surface marks and faint scratches, plays with very few crackles
SET 207 Side 4 - visually VG, spindle marks, surface marks and faint scratches, plays with very few crackles
SET 207 Side 7 - visually VG, spindle marks, surface marks and faint scratches, plays very crackly throughout
SET 208 Side 5 - visually Excellent, some spindle marks, under strong light some marks and faint scratches, some ticks at the start
SET 208 Side 6 - visually VG, spindle marks, surface marks and faint scratches, plays with couple of pops in places and a tick in one place
