Description

I have up for auction a Set of 2 records (Longer Playing 12" 78s) on the attractive blue and gold Columbia "Magic Notes" label made in England; I believe it is 1930 (either very late 20s or early 30s). Records are LFX 85 and LFX 86 by Mm. Maurice Marechal-Violincello and Robert Casadesus-Piano performing Debussy's "Sonate Pour Violoncelle Et Piano". The records include Part I-Prologue; Part II-Serenade; Part III-Finale, completed on the first 3 sides. The 4th side is "Danse Des Petits Negres" (Andre Caplet). The records are in excellent condition, hardly any wear and scuffs and scratches are very few, light and surface variety. Surfaces still shiny and clean. Likely a very desirable and fairly rare set. Great collectible!
