Description
Lot of seven 1960s LPs of John F. Kennedy speaking. Excerpts from speeches, press conferences, and miscellaneous other recordings.
-A Self Portrait: The Gallant Warrior of the Thousand Days - 1964 gatefold double LP on Caedmon. Looks unplayed. Mint. The cover has a small corner ding on the lower left and some general wear but still EX+
-The Kennedy Wit - RCA Red Seal VDM-101. Narrated by David Brinkley, with an intro by Adlai Stevenson. The disc looks perfect and the cover has only minor general shelf wear.
-John Fitzgerald Kennedy: the Presidential Years 1960-1963 - excerpts from speeches on independents no-name label. Still in the shrink with the old price sticker. The disc has a little evidence of use and perhaps just a touch of wear but plays just fine.
-A Memorial Album - a collection of highlights and various excerpts from many famous speeches. Still in the shrinkwrap and nearly perfectly mint.
-John F. Kennedy 1917-1963 A Memorial Album (different from above) - his most famous speeches, and comments by Barry Goldwater, Adlai Stevenson, LB Johnson, Sir Alec Holm, and Pope John XXIII. The disc has some marks and light scuffs but plays beautifully with only a touch of crackle and maybe a tick here and there. The cover has some seam splitting on part of the spine and part of the top edge.
-John Fitzgerald Kennedy Speaks to the Youth of America - a collection of excerpts addressing issues concerning the Boy Scouts, Peace Corps, Physical Fitness, and so on. Narrated by Alexander Scourby. The disc is near mint and the cover has only slight shelfwear.
-United States Presidents' Series - Actual Speeches of Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy. Library in Sound Records. Features the complete JFK inaugural address on January 20, 1961, plus FDR's first two inaugural addresses in 1933 and 37, as well as excerpts from various other famous speeches. Still in the shrinkwrap but somewhat water damaged on the lower half, mainly noticeable on the back, where some of the cover has stuck to the shrink and has separated. Still intact, but a little bit damaged. The disc has some light scuffs but is still excellent and plays beautifully.
All are beautiful original copies.
