SeX PIsTOLS - The "SPUNK" Album

In 1977 this bootleg album of demo/early studio recordings of the Sex Pistols was released due to the high demand for their music at the time; bearing in mind that this was around the time of their signing to the Virgin Record label and it was months before Never Mind The Bollocks album was due for release.

This pressing is on the 'BLANK' label, BLA169, Published by White Bitch and produced by P. Dickerson (well that's what it says on the label)

This bootleg album was not released with a designed cover only in either a plain white or plain black cover - the one you are bidding for is in a black cover

Performed by the original line up of Johnny Rotten, Steve Jones, Paul Cook & Glen Matlock in late 1976 / early 1977 the track listing as shown on the label is as follows:

SIDE ONE:

1. Seventeen 2. Satellite 3.Feelings 4. Just Me. 5. Submission 6. Nookie

SIDE TWO:

1. No Future 2. Problems 3. Lots of Fun 4. Liar 5. Who Was It 6. New York (Looking For A Kiss)

(So you are under no illusion some of the song titles listed above were later changed when the songs were later rerecorded/released) such as Feelings was renamed No Feelings, Just Me is Wanna Be Me, Nookie became Anarchy In The UK, No Future is Obviously a version of God Save The Queen, Lots of Fun was No Fun and Who Was It was in fact EMI (Unlimited Supply)

Although these were predominantly demos and early recordings two of the recordings later became official releases after a little remixing. 'Lots of Fun' ('No Fun') found itself on the 'B' side of the Pretty Vacant 7" and 'Just Me' ('I Wanna Be Me') was the 'B' side of Anarchy In The Uk 7"

This is a rare piece of SEX PISTOLS history and a must for any Punk/Pistols collector
