SEX PISTOLS.    ANARCHY IN THE UK- EMI 2566. 

B side credits Chris Thomas as producer (error).

VINYL IS UNPLAYED.  COMES WITH A SLEEVE I HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE- AN EMI PIC SLEEVE!!!

For those of you 'in the know' there was no pic sleeve ever produced....but there are 2 possibilities here and the latter is the most possible. 

First of all, it is possible a pic sleeve was issued in a small 'celebration' quantity.  Or, this is a genius Pistols fan making 100 extremely rare bootleg type sleeves.  (See pics this is number 9 of 100).

Basically either way you look at this, its unique and very collectable.  The sleeve looks exactly as it would from 1976 and there was possibly some flyers/ adverts, upon which the sleeve could have been based.

One very odd and perhaps telling fact...the sleeve says made in Britain.  Had this been from an advert in a magazine etc., why would the ad say 'made in Britain' exactly the same place as it would appear on a sleeve? 

......Oh I really don't know about this one!!!

It is unlikely there are many of the 5000 Chris Thomas B sides left, then of these, it is highly unlikely too many remain in decent condition.

THE SLEEVE PICTURE IS THE SAME ON BOTH SIDES OF THE SLEEVE. 

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE EMI WRITING AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF EACH SIDE.  THE BACK OF THE SLEEVE SHOWS THE  FULLER EMI ADDRESS AND SAYS MADE IN BRITAIN.

SORRY FORGOT TO SAY THE SLEEVE IS EX CONDITION, NO SPLITS, NO TEARS, NO FOLDS.  ONLY VERY LIGHT WEAR CONSISTENT WITH NATURAL AGEING.
