Description
The Sex Pistols - Anarchy In The UK 45 in ORIGINAL BLACK Sleeve. With Megarare Chris Thomas Production credit to both sides. This 45 also comes in the black picture sleeve issued at the time - solid black sleeve, and comes with original Rough Trade sticker on the back of the sleeve - just round the corner from the SEX shop and the band - this was sold locally to the roots of the Pistols.

Notes – this 45 is one of the very first of this single to get into the shops, and then the grubby little mitts of Punks. Although The Damned had rush released 'New Rose' to become the first 45 issued as punk, this was the single everyone had been waiting for. Withdrawn from sale following the band appearing on the Bill Grundy show and swearing at the BOF. This simply served to fuel the fire, and the rest is history. PLEASE SEE SCANS. CONDITION –
The vinyl is in Excellent condition.
The sleeve is in Very Good condition, please see scans - looks a little tired around the edges, and does have a couple of small seam splits, but hey - this is the Dogs B******s.

The all important labels are in superb condition. There is no writing or other blemishes, the text is striking and clearly legible with NO fading, they are as pristine as the day they left the factory. The spindle is clean with very little evidence of wear and show very little signs of visible playing.
Many copies of this 45 when released were taken to parties and played endlessly, often scratched until they were unplayable. This copy however has been played only lightly and looked after.
The vinyl is in great condition and free from any significant marks or blemishes.
The most outstanding aspect of this copy is the clean nature of how the record plays with no surface noise or static pops between tracks. This 45 single has clearly been loved and treasured by a keen collector. The quality of the sound makes the playing of the disc a pleasure with no allowances having to be made for its 30 year vintage, which is astounding in itself.
This single is becoming increasingly rare, especially in this condition.
