Description
Rare large Jamie Reid 'God Save The Queen Swastika Eyeballs' print
On offer here is a scarce 'God Save The Queen' print from Jamie Reid's limited edition produced in conjunction with the Aquarium Gallery in London in 2004. Jamie Reid is the influential artist who has designed record sleeves for the Sex Pistols, amongst others. This image was originally designed for the promotional campaign for the Sex Pistols' second single, but ultimately was only ever used on a Spanish promo poster.
The 51 cm x 72 cm (approximately 20" x 28") print is pigment printed on recycled card stock laminated to white stock. Only the initial run was produced on this laminated stock, later numbers were printed on unlaminated card. This initial small production run is therefore particularly sought after.
The print is signed, titled and numbered in pencil by hand by Jamie Reid, who has further added his trademark double 'A' symbol. The example on offer here has the limitation number 47.
This stunning print is in mint condition.
A proud addition to any collection of Jamie Reid's art.
