Description
Up for consideration is a NM-/NM- beautiful/rare original 1ST PRESSING (ONE OF THE SO CALLED FIRST 1,000 PRODUCED), of "NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS, HERE'S THE SEX PISTOLS" by the SEX PISTOLS. This was pressed in the U.K. in 1977 and released on OCT. 28, 1977 on the VIRGIN LABEL. These were originally planned to be released as promo only, but eventually released commercially earlier than expected due to the rushed out French pressing being imported to the U.K. These were issued with the "plain pink" back cover and 11 tracks only (with the track of "SUBMISSION" omitted). Also according to discogs, there was no poster or 7'' freebie included. The matrix in the run off is V2086 A3 and V2086 B3. It meets all the specifications listed in DISCOGS to be a legitimate original 1st pressing. Also it contains the original NM INNER SLEEVE and the original JEM IMPORT STICKER still affixed on the front cover. (SEE PICTURES) The very shiny vinyl exhibits some very light scuffing seen only under a bright light tilting the vinyl to the best angle to scrutinize it. It's cover is very nice also promoting some light ring wear at the bottom of the cover vs the yellow background. Labels are very nice with some light wear around the spindle hole on side #2, but outside of that looks close to pristine. This is a rare and complete listing of one of the harder to find lps out of the 1970s and is normally not seen on the auction block.
